Rules & Eligibility

Who can apply

Teams must be majority-based in Africa (registered companies, universities, or informal teams) and demonstrate an intent to build products with global scale potential.

Team size

  • 2–6 members. Up to 2 mentors/advisors allowed per team.

IP & open source

  • Teams retain IP. Sponsors/organizers ask for the first right to connect winners with program opportunities. Teams may choose to open-source their hackathon projects.

Submission requirements

  • Working prototype or clear demo

  • Pitch deck (max 10 slides)

  • 3–5 minute demo video

  • Code repository link (GitHub/GitLab)
